biography

Raoul Caprez was born in Switzerland in 1972. He found his first camera under the snow ... and it was still working ! At first, his pictures were mainly of Swiss cows ... and the years passed...

His interest for underwater photography started at the same time as his passion for diving, which pushed him to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor and an Underwater Photography Instructor.

Nowadays, he always travels with a camera.

According to him, in addition to the technical aspects, a well-composed picture must transmit en emotion or pass on a message; these are the necessary ingredients to immortalize a specific moment.

With his pictures he hopes to motivate people to better preserve the underwater world.

material

After having used a Canon G9 (2008-2010) and a Nikon D7000 (2011-2017) with satisfaction, he now uses a Nikon D850 placed in a Nauticam housing case with different lenses and two strobes (Subtronic pro160).
